This is one of the more ridiculous “fake boyfriend” plots I’ve read. “Hey, I’ve known you for 5 minutes, and you could be totally crazy, but I’m going to invite you to spend every minute for the next year with me (do you have a passport?). Oh, and instead of pretending that you’re my friend, or my bodyguard or even my personal trainer, let’s pretend that you’re my boyfriend. Even though I’m not gay and I don’t know if you are.” Um, yeah. Makes total sense, lol.

Reg is too perfect. Jeremy is initially painted as a jaded, famous world traveler who’s been successfully navigating the demanding entertainment industry since he was born. Somehow, throughout the book, he devolves into a naïve, uncertain guy who is petrifyingly afraid of spiders and clowns and throws temper tantrums. Is he 12? How did Jeremy manage (quite successfully) before Reg came along and did everything for him? Gee, I'm not sure.

Jeremy’s manager is just creepy. We never learn the motivation of the Bad Guy other than he was a jerk who apparently never wants to work in that industry again. Famous rock stars don’t take cabs. They also don’t stay in small hotel rooms.

The sexytimes are hot. The writing is ok. I didn’t hate the book, but it wasn’t a favorite. I'm laughing at the reviews that say this is a "believable" story.

Perfect Imperfections A Rock Star Contemporary Gay Romance edition by Cardeno C Romance eBooks Reviews

There is a lot of suspension of disbelief required to get through this book and the first time I read it, I really didn't like it. But when I just reread it now, I gave into the silliness and stopped looking for reality/logic - and then the sweetness of the story just swept me away. Jeremy (not Jem, Jez or anything else) is a super famous rock star, son of super famous celebrities. Reg is far more down to earth and normal. While their meeting and set up is silly, their intensity is not, and they actually do make a workable, hot couple. A nice way to escape for a few hours...
I don't know why I waited SOOOO long to read this book. I heard rave reviews and I even bought it but it took one of my favorite authors to get me to read it. I LOVE this book!!

It was very well written (as all the Cardeno C books I've read have been). I felt bed for Jeremy because he thought he needed to hire a fake boyfriend just so he could have a 'connection' physical as well as emotional (I kinda wanted to jump into the book just to give him a hug). Reg is such a sweet and GOOD guy, I wished I could just pull him out of the book to be my friend!

This story just gets better every time I read it. Jeremy and Reg are two of my favorite M/M characters ever.

When 31 year old Rock superstar Jeremy Jameson steps into a seedy bar in Munds Park, Arizona it turns out to be the best thing to ever happen to him.

Jeremy is not your typical "rock star"...there's no drugs, or scores of sexual exploits, or crazy publicity antics...he's quiet, a bit shy, and, most of all, lonely. When he starts up a conversation with bartender, Reggie Moore, he finds himself relaxed and engaged and having a great time. After closing down the bar, ending up on Reg's couch for the night, and a few more drinks an idea takes root Reg would love to travel more and Jeremy is sick of going out on the road alone, or with women who don't understand it's not all premieres and glitzy events...so Jeremy offers Reg the opportunity to become Jeremy's pretend boyfriend for seven months of travel, companionship, and adventure while Jeremy plays his latest world tour dates.

Reg isn't your typical bartender, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Accounting, but since an office job was killing him, he returned home to work and save enough money to go travel the world. Reg understands that Jeremy doesn't want a real boyfriend, but a friend, someone to spend with who wouldn't have ulterior motives or make constant demands. The offer is amazing but Reg makes two requests ask again once Jeremy sobers up and to give him a year instead of seven months.

It was sad that he felt he had to essentially hire that function out, but Reg wouldn’t complain. Jeremy was cool, his music was amazing, and touring the world would be a dream come true. “I hope so, man,” he said. “That’d be awesome.”
“It would.” Jeremy nodded. “No more lonely nights. No more boring flights with nobody to talk to. No more girls who say they want to be with me when they don’t even like me, and all they really want is a leg up.” He sighed. “No more.”

This story is hands down one of my favorite books of all time. I played a game with a friend where I was asked to name three books I would want with me if I was stranded on a deserted island, and Perfect Imperfections easily made the list. Why? Because, to me, it's perfect. There's no angst, no miscommunication, tons of humor, and hot sexy times. It's fluffy crack.

For me the only thing that was missing was an audio version.

If you asked me for a list of my favorite narrators you would absolutely find Charlie David on that list...so finding out he was doing to the narration for one of my favorite books?

I hoped the narration would live up to the love I had for the book and wasn't surprised when Charlie David gives another absolutely wonderful performance! The characters, the humor, the sexiness - it all comes through perfectly.

You want to know how I know this audio is fantastic? I immediately replayed the audio as soon as it finished the first time.

Whether in print or in audio - this is FANTASTIC!

The story is absolute fluff-tastic sweetness and cuteness, and when coupled with Charlie David's phenomenal performance, it's absolutely unforgettable. Perfect Imperfections...I love you!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
I loved this book. The main characters are interesting, have personalities that complement each other well, and are totally believable as a couple. Jeremy's personality is high-strung and needy, so thoroughly stuck in the world of a life-long celebrity (both parents were famous) that he has never had the chance to figure out who he is beyond the spotlight. Reg is a normal guy who gave up a normal, respectable city job to be a bartender in his hometown because that was what made him happy. His laid back, pragmatic attitude towards life makes him the perfect person to balance Jeremy's diva personality. Jeremy gets the rock he has always needed, and Reg gets a vibrant man to love and protect. This is a lovely example of a romance where the characters avoid the petty arguments and misunderstandings that drive many romance novels. Jeremy and Reg know what they've found in each other, now if only the crazy people would leave them alone...
